Anybody knows if the years can now be interpreted or
      Decoded through the new series?
Or just rolex can? If that is the case, if some one loses
the guarantee card, how can the watch be verified for
      the year they got it?

with the alphanumeric series. there is currently no way to verified which year it is manufacture. only rolex can.

to have the watch verified, you will have to approach RSC for verification. alternatively, you can use your original invoice to verify provided there is the serial number on it. with this, it also depends on the buyer if they believe you or not.

if you want rolex to verify which year the watch is bought, abit tough.

Just cannot see why all this fuss over some Internet code trying to say when a watch was made. All you ever get from any Internet code was when a case was approximately stamped sometime between X&Y years. We know the random started end of 2010 but when the actual movement was made in the case well only Rolex knows that one.Now take the cal 3135 they make around 500000 of these each year. Now they are not made to order to a particular letter case, or to the day week month or year.So in particular series letter the movement could be older or newer or visa versa. And no matter what the case letter they all get the same two year warranty when bought new from AD.Watches are not perishable they don't go off and even if not used for five years or longer they will fine and as good as the perceived newer watch with the latest case stamp.Same for the Internet clasp codes its only a rough indication when the clasp was stamped and not necessarily when a completed watch was made and shipped to AD for sale.

Guys, is the existing serial numbers engraving between the lugs still present on the alphanumeric series watches even though they have a chapter ring?

Not anymore its on the Rehaut ring, the chapter ring is the minute/hour markers around the dial.

I think not important which year it make.

For example,Exp 2 with no pin-hole start from
                    F series.

And it make till Z series, than Chapter ring start at M series.

Currently, people will go for Z with same price or little bit more?

So currently,is not favor to those who want to sell the F series?

So the start of alpha & number, will not have this problem infuture?

I got my GMT Master a month ago. I started with P2C XXX, also I would like to know why are the seller hiding the fuller serial number from their photo? Is it confidential ? Why is it so, please advise. Thanks

You can search for the answer in the forum, actually. Briefly, it is to "deter a potential crime" because people can copy the full serial number and use it on counterfeits, i.e. fake watches. It is just like displaying your NRIC no. here to let everyone see.
