  • Explorer II bk or Submariner bk

Can't decide which 1 to get as price is close.
Resale value which one is better just in case to upgrade next time.

Look? i find Sub have a solid and strong look and Explorer i find it can suit any dressing.

Is this your first Rolex? If yes, then the submariner would be a good choice as it's clearly identifiable as the Rolex watch by most. Mention submariner to anyone and they will associate it with Rolex.

For now, in terms of resale, the submariner will also holds it's value better than the Explorer II. Unless of course, Rolex decides to discontinue the current version of the Explorer II.

As for me personally, I'd go for the Explorer II for it's thinner casing as compared to the submariner. This allows the watch to rest easily on my wrist. Also, I find that it hides well under my sleeve in cases where I do not want to draw others attention to the watch I'm wearing.

Don't want to have the CE noticing my watch during a meeting, right...may think that I'm been paid too much and there goes my future Rolex.

Anyway, having said all that, I suggest that you put both watches on your wrist and see which one "calls" to you. Happy hunting.

What you want to use it for? Work?

For work, do you work in the sea? or land? For sea, Sub is suitable, for land Exp II is suitable.

Others, for day to day wear with no specific purpose, buy the design you like. For resale value will be Sub you Buy high Sell high, Exp II you Buy low Sell low.

How to own all Rolex series? Fund not enough is always a stress of having to decide on one.

Not many people were able to collect all the series. Just like GMT alone.
