• Sub ND or Sub LV

Currently i have a sub ND and i am thinking of getting a new sub LV.
However i am deciding on the following please input your advise.

whether to let go the sub ND and get a new sub LV.
keep the sub ND and get the sub LV if there is enough cash (need to save)
or just keep the sub ND and forgo the sub LV. since both is still sub but consider the LV is a anniversay pc.

"whether to let go..."

If YES, n thinking sensibly n logically, both r still same brand, same model = ROLEX Subs. But finding excuses to counter tis, both r still diff in tat one has date n te other w/o, n both oso have diff colors . If it's me, I'll only choose 1, n preferrably, Sub LV (got date).

"keep the sub ND and get..."

On the contrary, let go te Sub ND n acquire te Sub LV (got date) .

"just keep the sub ND and forgo..."

Again, logic will tell u YES, do jus tat. Since you've got a Sub, save up to get another ROLEX model/brand.

Cheers!

hmmm. I think if u wanna collect. save up and get an LV.

if ur the type to just wear the watches. sell ur ND then save for the LV. Consider it an upgrade. (and if u wanna sell it. at least next time ur watch will be worth more.) Consider it "saving".
wish list.

For me, keep the sub no date and buy a DJ.

I would consider this as 2 different watches altogether.

Sub ND is a classic by itself.

Sub LV is a Special Edition, the date function is already different from Sub ND.

Some keep the Sub ND and buy a Sub LV

SS Daytona Black Dial,
SS GMT II coke, SS GMT IIC, TT GMT IIC,
SS Sub Date, TT Sub Date Black,
SS SD,
SS YM,
SS YM Mid Size,

Just like to add that the Sub LV has a green bezel and so may not be suitable for all outfit (if you're the type that's particular about matching colours). This may not be the case with the sub ND.

Just for your consideration...

thanks for all the advise
cause now i always wear the Exp II and hardly wear the sub ND and was thinking to keep the sub ND.
and i know the sub LV is more worth to keep then the sub ND. since its a special edition and also with date.
and also no point to keep the sub ND and sub LV since both is also a sub but with diff characteristics, rather save up and get another model.
is it true that the sub ND is more rare then a sub date? according to my AD.

so right now i am still deciding.

ermm.. ur AD is not wrong to say that la.. this is because Sub date is more popular and sold in greater number than the Sub ND, so in comparison Sub ND is more rare...

Instead of Sub LV (which is also lovely), perhaps save a bit more and go for GMTIIc or Daytona SS..

Wah I guess...everyone has their own views...some say this some say that.

But my $0.02...buy what you like.

If you were to ask me...what I will do is...dump the ND Sub and get the Sub LV..

But don't pay too much for the LV - it is currently around SGD 7500 or less or a pre-owned 95% condition, complete with b & p.

apart from green bezel, the hour markers are bigger and the hands are thicker.....

I was in you shoe until last month Had a ND SUB, but the ND feature seems an eye-sore to me I have considered several options:

Option 1:
- Sell off ND Sub, top up and get a date sub (SS, LV, or TT)

Option 2:
- Keep ND Sub and get some other model like GMT, E2 or DJ

So I went for Option 2 - keep the ND Sub & gotten the DJ. But still cannot accept the fact that ND Sub has no date ... so sold off ND Sub and gotten a TT Sub

Go with your heart. If you cant accept the Sub w/o date, it's a matter of time that your "itchy" feeling will return and start to look for replacement. Though no doubt ND Sub is one of the most reasonable Rolex sports model !

The above is just my experience & view ...
