I seen through People's park or Peninsula or Lucky Plaza, PK prices, I personally feel it is so over-priced for a pre-owned.

But be reasonable and don't delay too long to authenticate if you decide to.

just wondering how long it takes for RSC to authenticate the watch? immediate one?

depends on workload. but its usually a walk in-walk out transaction. you dont even have to leave the watch there overnight.

I'm also keen to get a watch for my wife from one of those shops (except the very expensive in hokkien) at peoples park
A few shops we have been to:
the two shops besides poh heng
a pawnshop on the 2nd floor next to the escalator (cashbox?)
another small shop in front of a DVD shop on the 2nd floor (can't rem the name)

any other shops there? we'd like to go this afternoon
where's koh brother and the other popular one?

                        thanx so much for helping

Koh brothers is a construction company lar... lol

Koh watches and AK watches is the same owner. 2rd level people's park CENTRE. The only building that sells 4d in the whole of chinatown.

Eh, personal opinion, buying without cert means a lower resale value in the open market. If you buy from AK and Koh, first year trade in back to them is 15%, after 1 year later is +5%. Please clarify with them before you buy, it was 10% trade in previously for the first year purchase. As i've just bought a piece from them days ago, the information should be quite accurate unless they decide to change again.

In no way i'am affiliated with them, but they have good service and reasonable collection of watches. Bought 4 pieces from them already. For me, Cert is a must but box wise, can easily get for $60 - $80 SGD online.

Take my comments with a pinch of salt thanks!

that is why i mentioned before that authentication @ RSC will give you peace of mind.

when you buy, tell the shop that you will authenticate the watch. if authentication fail, no deal.

if the shop you want to trade with says it has non original part, then tell the shop that you will go RSC immediately to authenticate. if RSC says all original, then shop pays for authentication fee and deal at the price that is agreed
