I remember last year I went to chat with the girls there, just for the fun of it on 3 occasions:-
1)a day date 1803 (only the head, no bracelet) and they quoted me $9500!
everywhere selling $5K+ to $6K only.
2)next a white gold day date with diamonds 18239 and was quoted $21,000!
3)my mum's datejust I wanted to sell off because she upgraded to a queen,I was quoted $1K! it was a guy at the counter so I told him I will pay him $2K instead if he will sell me a similar watch haha!
I subsequently sold the watch off at a goldsmith shop for $2.9K.almost 3 times higher! so you can imagine what they will pay for a 6694.My 18K Gold Day Date "President" Collection:

since owner in the forum is asking or $1500 to $1800 for 6694, and I believe most shops need at latest $500 to cover cost, otherwise will have to close shop, and they can't sell much higher, likely around $2k, it is possible for them to offer at $1000 since they would have cover cost. For $3k, it is way too expensive unless there is other service, like changing the glass from acrylic to sapphire.
FYI, I know a shop which get an ex 2 for 4.8K and put it for sale at 5.7k the next day.

Reasons for the price different.
Well if they dun charge the premium, then we got nothing to wash our eyes when we go there. There is this shop at bencoolen building that take in watches at reasonable price. They quote my near 4 years BALL EHCI for 1k plus considering the msrp of the watch was 2k plus when I bought it. Sometime I suspect pre-own dealer selling at forum too... Some seem to be selling watches at forums to make a living.sigpic

every rolex in there is very rare..hard to get...mint condition and such....
Best part is...vintage s.s rolex with lug holes is worthless according the sales person there....a pretty one though...Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak
Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen
