Buying a Rolex during 7th Month?

I am one of those very "pantang" type of person, as I am a big gambler (CASINO, FOOTBALL, MJ all also bet)

I want to ask the advise of you gurus here whether there is any implications of getting an expensive watch during the ghost month, as I know, many dont buy houses during ghost month. Is it at all related???

I ask this because I know for a fact that when I wear my TAG HUER LINK (tiger woods one) bought in ghost month 2005 and gamble , I am damn bloody sway...Also how much can I expect to get in resale for this TAG? bought 3.2k 3 yrs old.

I have the opportunity to buy a brand new GMT IIc TT 116713 for $13.4k from AD is this price good? And can I get it cheaper in HK/Japan?

Hi big gambler, I would advice the following:

Wear a blood red underwear with red pant and shirt if you so decided to buy a watch.

Go during noon, because under hot sun all ghost taking a break.

You must buy brand new watches, don't buy pre-owned, because you don't know the history of it... may be the late owner will be looking for his lost watches during this period..

Don't go to shop with name "Gui"= Ghost.... sure kana chop carrot.

Don't approach any shop with female staff, because all "Ti Ko" sure lost in gambling. The best look for uncle with a big smiling face that look like 'Chay Sheng' aka God of Fortune.

Buy watch with price tag of $8, $88, $888, $8,888, $88,888.... but avoid 4, i.e. $4, $44, $444, $4,444, $44,444... even the boss give you good discount if you ever notic the final figure contain 4, round up of ask for round down... Remember no 4 = Die, Die, Die...

Pay cash and don't used card... Card = Cut, you gamble with it sure kana cut = 'Tai' = makan = 'Su'.

The best buy it today, tomorrow sure kana TOTO....

Never heard of that, you buying watch not a house. If still worried, choose a auspicious date in the "tongshu", then select a auspicious that does not clash with with zodiac sign. sure HUAT one

Buy second hand also no problem, rem to cleanse it with salt water, and sunbath it for at least 8 hours to remove all the previous owner chi.

$13.4k is not a opportunity... is on the high side... with that money can buy a TT GMT IIc... In our forum people selling IIc BNIB for only 9.3k to 9.5k, IIc TT BNIB for 12.7k so far...

How to wash with salt water and sun bath? the late owner hide inside the watch how? how to flush he/she/them out?

Better don't follow this method, wait watch flooded with "Holy" water, then cry all the way to SRC and all the SRC antie will laugh until teeth drop...

Although I do travel alot, I also abit worried about the customs thing from some horror story i read in rolexforums they will confiscate it if u go thru green channel and there are even specialised people from custom to catch rolex.

How much difference can I expect if I get it in HK? Any discount? There is a thread in here saying someone friend working in HK AD can get 13.5k including ship to SG, if thats the case, 13.4k local is good deal what....
