Received quite a few pm's from fellow forum users, whom I am so heartened to know are looking to buy for their folks. Since everyone is asking where and how much I bought them for, I don't mind sharing it here.

KOH watches, people's park centre #02-something. AK watches belongs to them too.

About 7k for the pair, but I must say I was very very lucky to find a matching pair at a bargain. Probably the cheapest in the shop. I told them my budget and being very nice business owners they were very patient and accommodating. I also felt apologetic as I occupied quite a bit of their time and space when some other customers could have bought something of a higher premium.

We had gone to many shops with preowned rolexes but somehow just felt very comfortable striking the deal with them.

Am still looking for a good chance to give them to my parents…… maybe on my birthday this wednesday

p/s Mods feel free to edit if display of company name violates any forum rules…… thanx

Thanks for sharing and happy birthday to you! I'm very sure your folks will be very happy & surprise to receive your wonderful gift from you. Cheers!

Yes, my sentiments exact. This was totally what I had in mind before I went to the shop.

Probably going back again later to find something for my in-laws they're my parents too!

I told her how much it cost…… as usual, she nagged a bit but I knew she liked it a lot She had wanted me to keep the money for our kids (twins) who will be due in mar/apr, but I decided to go ahead anyway. If it's something for our parents, I'd go ahead with it right away. You never know when you will have another chance.

Back in 2008 I brought the whole family about 10 pax (with grandma's, both paternal and maternal) on a HK trip which I insisted we should go. It was a childhood wish to bring my parents and grandparents overseas for sightseeing. I'm glad I did. My grandma came down with a stroke since. Till this day I felt so thankful for my own stubbornness to bring them on a trip.

Sorry, got a bit carried away.

                          Back to watches pls
