very rare to find a local AD in sg that priced both white and black face @ the same price.
I think so too.... but he put out at least 3 SS daytona in front of me to pick. I ask him how many of these are in your pocket, he smiles and never answer.
I love playing mind game with these sale people but at the end hard cash always wins and I always remind them a profit is always a profit. Of couse you can ask me to go somewhere else or hong kong to look for that prices.
Cash is cash you don't wait end of the month to get the credit and don't have to pay the credit card company. I told him this is the cash for the two watches and keep the cash and the deal is done in 10 min and he at least make 8k for the two watches ... you don't have to be a smart man or A star to understand that.
I think black and white is not that much different now as keep the money or wait for the money.
most AD have stocks for the daytona, it is just that they put it away, they only part with it when the price is right for them.
take for example, the discontinued GMT Master II, some people pay 2-3k above list is understandable to a certain extend. however for the daytona, the list is about 13k and selling @ another 4k above premium? i would not pay for it.
dont get me wrong, i would still like to own a daytona but not @ this kind of premium price. it is ridiculous to me, as for 18k, there are alot of options out there to consider such as a breguet flyback type XXI, a possible previous version of GO perpetual calendar, a explorer II + GMT Master IIc + cash left
however, if you truly love to own one, just close your eyes and get one. prices have gone up by an average of at at least 1k per year locally.
Hi dsdfan99
That for sure not all movie stars wear Rolexes, but most have at least one.
:
I'm sure! George Clooney and Brad Pitt wear Omega and Tag in the advertisements, at least. After the photoshoot, they probably take off the Tag's and Omegas and put on their Pateks. With the endorsement money the get on those advertisements, they can afford far more than Tag's and Omegas.
Even the latest James Bond now wears an Omega on screen, not a Rolex, as he proudly proclaims to .
In one scene from the new Casino Royale his girlfriend asks him, "Nice Watch. Rolex?" He replies, "No, Omega."
Not all movie stars wear Rolexes. Despite their great wealth, George Clooney wears Omega and Brad Pitt wears Tag Heuer.
If you had bought Daytona five years ago, it would not have the special Parachrom Bleu hairspring that is in the Daytona you just bought.
Brad Pitt wears a Tag coz he's the Tag ambassador..he was featured in a Rolex Ad also for Japan....with a Explorer. Which was the big thing back then in japan

I tot thre's sme kinda' contractual rules/regulations for stars/celebrities to carry certain brands? I recalled David Beckham getting sued by either adidas for wearing nike sneakers? I'm nt 2 sure abt their pte lives but I think when a celebrity is endorsing a brand, he/she MUST be seen wearing/carrying tat particular brand on official activities?

back in June 2007, some one bought a Daytona SS black 116520, and then decided that he felt that gold would fit him better. So he sold the 116520 and bought a Daytona white gold.
I bought his watch at a preowned shop. And asked the shop at what price did he buy it at. He produced the previous owner's 116520 receipt from local AD, and later made me a copy of the receipt for keeps: S$19,000. I bought that at S$15,500 in mint condition in July 2007. To be exact, S$3,500 price difference in 50 days.
