  • Recommending a Rolex

    Hi guys,

Need some advice from you. Especially the experts. Here's the situation. My company has this coach program and this coach is a German Australian. He frequently comes to Singapore to coach the management team and he wants to start the coaching business here.

He frequently meets with HR directors and those C level people and the best part is, he wears a old sekio watch. Those old gold one with both clock and digital. Don't know how to describe but to me, it is just not right for Asian culture.

I told him he needs to wear a Rolex if he wants to see those folks. So now he is convinced and I would like to ask you guys, which Rolex model should I recommend him? Like all German, he is quite a serious in a way, black is black, white is white.

So you guys think which Rolex will suit his personality? Any input will be appreciated.

    Thanks

          some factors to consider

          1) skin color
          2) preference of SS or TT

most important is to bring him to a local shop and ask to try on some of the models. if you need help, you got my number.

Depending on which industry he is coaching. Tow Kay type, wear lolex (All gold or half gold) and learn a bit hokkien will be useful. If the Mgt is mostly younger and English speaking, he could do better with a Glashutte Original (German) or even Lange ( if he is willing to spend). The wear may become a topic of discussion too.

A SINN is not so suitable for office wear.

Great for a German to be seen wearing their top end product.

              Hi KuchingKu,

He is actually a life coach, who coaches management to success. In US, it is common that CEO or directors level folks have a coach who guide them in their career. Just like Tiger Wood needs a coach as well.

So he is constantly meeting with HR directors and etc to promote his services. Do you reckon Glashutte Original (German) is good for him rather than a Rolex? Any input is appreciated.

                Agreed with Bro Ocean's choice.

GMT IIc tt or ss. I would think tt suits ang mo better.

                It projects:
                1. owner travels around.

                2. Rolex is a choice of value. Projects a coach that makes a wise choice of value.
Too high end like lange may turn people off.

                3. Rolex is easily recognized.
