rolex can considered as "fashion" or "non-fashion".
fashion is something that come and go like wind, you don't see a sudden change in majority on the street whereby everyone start wearing it for awhile then the season gone. it will not stay long.
like i said, it can considered as fashion when you treat it like accessories to match what you are wearing.

think due to the drop in USD, rolex's prices will sway abit. LV don't have discount but they do have yearly sale where you really see people queuing up.

And so this is really happening now?!

      From these various postings:

      slang27
      cal_wish

ROLEX seems to be "going for the kill"..

It is either they increase the retail price to continue giving discounts for certain models (should be lesser discounts) or just maintain the retail prices and do away with all discounts.

How to catch up, ever ?

Spoke to a few ADs - the big 3 no names mentioned - the move for 2011 is towards a 10% discount first. They claim this will be a regional initiative. Whether we see a zero discount is yet to be seen. The jury is still out
