Any Recommended ADs in Basel Swiss ??? For Good Rolex Deal !

Hi All Gurus,

I need some input here rgd buying Rolex in Swiss.

My frd is going to Euro for honeymoon & Swiss will one of their stop.
So i tot of ride on this opportunity to hunt some pieces from Basel Swiss.

I heard that it is cheaper by 40% as compare to local ADs here. So may i know is this statement true or false ?

If yes, can anyone kindly recommend some ADs shop in Basel to look up for ?

my suggestion is isolate 1 -3 models that you are interested in. ask local AD for the price. with this information, tell your friend that you only willing to pay $X after conversion from swiss francs. if it is higher $X in swiss, then give it a miss.

i have not heard anyone paying cheaper(40%) for a rolex in swiss compared to in sg as of yet.

highly unlike 40%. otherwise you will see our garage flooded with swiss dealers prices more or less standardised, only currency/tax make up the difference.

False, price is standard in almost all country.

Definitely false. Was in Basel last August. Prices are more expensive after conversion due to strong CHF. However for sports models they do offer some discount, and after claiming back the sales tax, might save just a bit.

Did not see any Asian tourists flocking the ADs there. I only saw East European tourists entering the Bucherer shop in Zurich by the busload.

I agreed with most people said. It's not really true. I bought my Sub about same price as in Singapore. My wife's Lady DateJust was worse due to bad discounts from AD. It all depends to the models that you are keen and exchange rates. If the model which is not popular, you may get some discounts, and with good exchange rate, you may get slightly cheaper price. Otherwise, not really true.

Here my frd field report bck from Swiss.
He bought his V Series SS GMT-IIc from an AD calls "BUCHERER". He claimed that BUCHERER is the only AD in Swiss selling Rolex beside Rolex boutique.
Why in Swiss still selling V Series batch ? Not Alphanumeric or G Series ?

Here is the price he paid CHF7500 x 2% Discount = CHF7350 - 7.5% Tax Rebate = CHF6791 x 1.3 X/Rate = SGD8829.

So may i know is it a good deal compare to local AD deal ? Cuz another stupid frd won some $$$ in The Sand & bought V Series SS GMT-IIc @ SGD10800 & SDDS @ SGD14+++ from the AD in The Sand.
Sorry, i nvr been to The Sand don't which AD & my stupid frd can't recall too !

it is possible to quote 10800 because it is located @ Sands. Other AD out of casino will probably quote a lower price. however, your friend bought in swiss, the price i would say reasonable.
