  • Rolex Clasp Codes

    It is thought that the following codes, stamped on the Rolex Clasp, signifies when the watch was assembled at the Rolex factory.

    A = 1976
    B = 1977
    C = 1978
    D = 1979
    E = 1980
    F = 1981
    G = 1982
    H = 1983
    I = 1984
    J = 1985
    K = 1986
    L = 1987
    M = 1988
    N = 1989
    O = 1990
    P = 1991
    Q = 1992
    R = 1993
    S or T = 1994
    W or T = 1995
    V = 1996
    Z = 1997
    U = 1998
    X = 1999
    AB = 2000
    DE = 2001
    DT = 2002
    AD = 2003
    CL = 2004
    MA = 2005
    OP = 2006
    EO = 2007
    PJ = 2008
    PL or LT = 2009
    RS = 2010

    The number behind the letter(s) seems to be the month the clasp was produced.

    So, for example, LT2 would be February 2009

      Read before that clasp production date does not imply that it'll be watch assembly date.

        That is 100% correct its only a approximation whether a case or bracelet was stamped somewhere between X&Y years.And bares no real relation except for a approximation when a fully assembled watch is shipped from factory for sale world wide.With case and bracelet stamps the latest is just perceived newer by many.But with watches that use say the Cal 3135 now that movement could be older or newer made or visa versa when matched to a particular case.Same for the bracelets Rolex watches are not made to the exact hour,day week or year its all a approximation somewhere between X&Y years.

            I cant see anything on the crasp.. you mean the buckle area? I found this letter 6QH at the buckle area..is this the one? The crasp is the "crown" right to fasten the buckle? The crown is so small to contain number..
