Just chanced upon a thread in another forum in which a GMT Matser II was put through a series of crazy tests to prove its robustness and tougness. Apparently, the owner of the watch put it through extreme conditions just to prove that it would not be affected by the subsequent changes in temperatures. I think the TS proved his point that Rolex watches are indeed tough as nail but I'm surprised he went to such extremes. So here is the link to that thread:
