The 6694 OysterDate is a perfect example of a good $1000- Rolex!
No sports Rolex would be included however.... 20 year old Sub is still very much wanted!

besides 6694 there are also other models available.

price going up and down is dependent on demand and supply.

The cheapest rolex in the market is the 6694, no way u can get a rolex with bracelet below 1k

It very much depends on the demand for old models of Rolexes. To get one for around $1k is rather difficult unless it is on a leather strap. There are a few 'cheap' ones out there that you can buy online for between $1-2k but equally there are also a lot that can hit the $50k+ mark quite easily.

The Older a watch gets doesn't necessarily translate to a watch getting any cheaper unless it gets in a terrible condition.

there some rolex selling with paper and some with non paper. is the paper important ? cos some will think it fake ( i know it can be check) and some think that the rolex is been stealed from some one

As with most things, due diligence is required when buying watches.
You would never know it is stolen unless you can take it to an official Rolex Service Centre to have it verified. And even then, if it hasn't been reported stolen, you could still end up with stolen property.

Try to buy the 'seller' if you can meet them face to face. There is a thread in the forum that gives advice on buying a watch. You can try searching for it.

In my opinion, prices are always driven by demand and supply. Economy 101. No such thing as fixed price range. Have fun.

what type of strap? if talking about bracelet, i believe the cost of a new oyster bracelet runs in the region of $800

as for dial; you will want to go thru outside RSC, and they might cost you about $200-300 if im not wrong.

leather strap is relatively cheap. range from $15 - $800 and a set of springbars. i believe the lug widths are 19mm.
