To me is all about consumer's psych, everyone of us want the latest things in the world in the affortable way, but technology is always moving fast, it may be rare presently but will be common tomorrow.

Daytonal has been using the spring for the past 8 years after it use the in-house movt, increase to 44J as compare to zenith of having only 31J, with the gain of 13J to me that is a plus , as for 3186 movt although using the spring, there is no increase in performance, is still 31J. So it just don't really make sense for paying so much extra.

Although Rolex is controlling the production, if you were to compare the serial no. of all the years, it is not difficult to observed that she is producing more watches each year to cope with the demand. So my logical thinking of 3186 movt since is replacing 3185 movt will be came common too. So why paying the premium now?
