Yes it's possible...but i doubt they will do that. Why spoil their reputation?

a "cheaper" version of its usa/europe cousins which was encased in 18k....

that's a 1680 on a blue dial with blue insert.... however i dont remember white gold nipples as the hour markers during that time.... so most likely yellow gold..... there is a hint of yellow on those markers + hint of gilt lettering... but one picture dun tell the whole story....

possibly there might be tritium hour markers w/o the yellow gold made for the asian blue sub.... and if so as rare as the watch as is the bezel insert....

BUT the watch in question is a sub with the black dial on a blue insert that was put on sale.... like i said, its just easier to slap on a cheaper replacement bezel and ride on the asian blue sub story...

most of all.... i hope that bezel insert is not aftermarket....

Sorry for the late reply everyone.I missed out this thread.I am no expert, but here is my take on the subject.

If the TS meant the 168000 that is on MONSTER's site, then I seriously doubt its a blue insert. All 168000 are reguler 16800 wif upgraded steel.I use to own a 168000, and its all black.

What I tink Alvin meant is that the bezel insert has faded to a nice navy bluish tint, thats all.

Have a look at my 5513 wif a faded bluish grey insert,i.e.originally black, but faded till bluish hue,,,,

                          My previous 168000

As a follow up, jus read Monster's description of the watch,he does state that its a BLUE insert. If its original to this watch, then I guess I learn something new today.

pls note, the seller SUSPECTs its for the SIN market, and so far there is no proof or literature on this SINGAPORE market only version.

Jus my 2 cents.Nothing against Mon... Time.
