the daytona is like the holy grail of rolex watch collecting. i will not get either one. reason is simple. the daytona is over priced, so unless one comes @ a decent price above premium, i will consider. it is not a must get for me. for the premium price u pay, there are many other options available.
as to YM, as one of the models can be mistaken as a tag as pointed out. so it is a no go for me.
one is a go if the price is ok for me. the other is a no go.
Daytona has that classic look.. and who doesnt like chronograph functions.. sure u dun use it as much and it isnt as useful as the date window... but it looks hunky and macho...
and dun worry.. nobody will mistake a daytona for a cheap citizen or seiko...
for the YM, its actually a plain looking watch that has a platinum dial and bezel... closest i can find that it looks like a tag wld be the aquaracer series...
at 40mm, its easy to distinguish between the two... but i'm not sure abt the ladies sizes..... plus tag got no cyclops....

Reason: changed pic for comparison
Very nice pics there and appreciate the effort. Thanks.
are u talking abt psee's watches...?
i was thinking that a visual comparison wld help the TS make a decision... while not being too biased.... hehe.
anyways... both watches look nice... BUT.... hope the TS wl try out both watches and see which one smiles best to him....
not too many moons ago, before i had my black milgauss... i was swooning over it... but when i finally bought it and put it on.... it felt like a datejust/airking without the date....
As the above title read, please advise your thoughts and which one is your best buy ?
Any YM vs any Daytona (less the bling bling one)...
btw the 2, the SS Daytona is definitely the 1 to go for. the real challenge would be to find one at a decent price. it is one of those models that Rolex has cleverly played the demand/supply card to its avantage and ensured that it sells at a premium above its list price over the years.
