Daytona's price is stable
YM price slide...
YM can mistaken as Tag, Daytona is much more unique...
So I will go for a Daytona...hehe (I own one liao), as for YM will be last priority.

the daytona is like the holy grail of rolex watch collecting. i will not get either one. reason is simple. the daytona is over priced, so unless one comes @ a decent price above premium, i will consider. it is not a must get for me. for the premium price u pay, there are many other options available.
as to YM, as one of the models can be mistaken as a tag as pointed out. so it is a no go for me.
one is a go if the price is ok for me. the other is a no go.

I think both are great watches........i only like the YM cos it has a date feature, to me that is more useful then the Chronograph.
Looks wise i would go with the Daytona....i think it's a classic.
pls update on your choice...and post some pics.

a Daytona wld be a great watch to have....
but thats because i already own a YM....
Daytona has that classic look.. and who doesnt like chronograph functions.. sure u dun use it as much and it isnt as useful as the date window... but it looks hunky and macho...
and dun worry.. nobody will mistake a daytona for a cheap citizen or seiko...
for the YM, its actually a plain looking watch that has a platinum dial and bezel... closest i can find that it looks like a tag wld be the aquaracer series...
at 40mm, its easy to distinguish between the two... but i'm not sure abt the ladies sizes..... plus tag got no cyclops....

Of the two, I personally prefer the Daytona. If it is not critical to have the SS model, TT ones offer pretty good value.Time is too precious to be measured by a cheap watch...

btw the 2, the SS Daytona is definitely the 1 to go for. the real challenge would be to find one at a decent price. it is one of those models that Rolex has cleverly played the demand/supply card to its avantage and ensured that it sells at a premium above its list price over the years.Originally posted by seadweller View PostHISTORY IS WRITTEN BY THOSE WHO
