  • DSSD or New Green Sub ?

    Hi all,

    I'm newbie in this forum,
While wonder to get my first Rolex watch for myself during my 42 birthday in Nov.
My choice is either DSSD or New Green Sub ?
Appreciate the expert able to provide me some guide or share their view?
    Thank you for your time.

In my opinion, the Green Sub is a better choice. Firstly, it's a new model. The green ceramic and dial are superb. But you may have to pay a high premium for it. Secondly, DSSD is a very thick and big watch, most people may not like it. In terms of quality, both models are good. DSSD is a very good diving tool. Do try it out both to see which one you like most.

Buy the sub! My 1st rolex also is a sub...

But seriously no one can tell u what u like... so buy what u like the best. If both also like, buy either one first and work hard and save then buy the other one.

Hi Larry88, Seventh Son & Haolian King,

Thank you for the valuable advices.
Yes, I strongly agreed that no one can tell me what I like & both are very different watches.

Sound like most of the expert prefer green sub.
Might needs to try out both to see which one I like most?

Size of the watch will be the main factor. DSSD really huge and thick. If u love the size, you definately pick this one. If not, u will turn and walk away from her. Go try out.

It is never too old to get your first rolex be it 22, 32, 42, 52, 62. As long as there are spare cash to pamper yourself.

I like the DSSD super solid look and case, but the weight and tiny bracelet put me off, the Sub is a more balance on case size vs bracelet, IMO.

You must like the green in order to consider between it and the DSSD.

My take, get the DSSD first while the SubC LV rocket itself in pricing and when its price stabilizes, trade your DSSD for the SubC LV. Trade value will not differ much by then. Again, depending if you are getting a BNIB or preloved SubC LV.

With limited finances, you get the best of both worlds assuming SubC LV is your ultimate aim.
