Well, the Euro is still reasonably priced against SGD, I would say that is still OK to buy from Germany. A more complicated paperwork could yield you 19% MwSt back. A simpler Global Refund will get you only 13 percent actually.

The complicated versions require you to have a bank account in Germany or IBAN options for the retailers to transfer back the money.

So it goes like this. You buy the goods, ask for Antrag (it is a more complex form of the tax refund form from Global Blue, etc.), if I recall correctly, it is in German so you may wish to settle that. The next procedure would be after you get customs stamp when you exit EU, you mail the form back to your retailer. The retailer will then submit the form for their internal processing to the German tax authorities and then they will receive the rebate. It is then this rebate transferred to your IBAN compatible account by the retailer.

So, indeed you will get back everything 19% but it takes more process and longer time.

Holy s**t... what a damn troublesome process.. does the same go for lv retailers or for only rolex..?? and does that account in germany necessarily be in my name or could i get them to remit the 19% rebate to let's say a german friend's account...?? Thanks in advance for your response bro..

Well, it applies for other things as well. Actually it depends on the retailers whether they want to help you on this. Most will just act blur and give you the Global Refund kind of form to save them time and processing. The bank account could belong to your appointed account. I have even tried to collect back the money in cash at the shop when I return there in a couple of months after the whole process has been completed (prior to an agreement with the shop).

There are branches of Bucherer all throughout major cities/ regions in Germany. They will not allow any bargaining at all and are a fixed price . You can get the net VAT back though as they will use global blue.
The other AD's which I can recommend would be Wempe which have branches all over Germany.

Bucherer is just like hour glass here. No bargaining and tour guides will bring tourists there too. Fixed price or even higher than you see here. The only gain is tax rebate, which can be substantial.

Tax refund can be way more easier, just send me over a PM. There are more dealers you can work very well with however you need to know who to go to! You really can forget to get discount on these pieces now as x-mass season started and they all stock up inventory as delivery will be done in a few weeks starting again next year!

Is Wempe like another Dickson watch in Munich; fixed price too?

What you have to understand is that Europe is not the same as Asia, here it`s not normall to cut prices by a Dealer. Dealers don`t care if you buy it as they have 10 other local clients who will pay full retail, they have to know you, that makes it easier
