Haha it's ok...usually people look through last 2-3 pages if there are many many pages.

Anyway...looks like you are the person I am looking for. Haha, just to ask la,you have 2 DJs 116234 and 16234...why get 2?

Personally I have a DJ 1601-4,cannot upgrade diamond dial...so if I want I have to get another DJ which is the newer 1s. Having 2 DJs...is it weird? Care to share pics of both ur DJs?

I will try to upload some pic soonz. Not an expert in taking close up shot on my watches. ..

i got my first DJ 16234 about 4 years back. It was the silver face one with diamond markers. Recently I went to HG and saw the same model with some facelift..the 116234....it has a slight bigger face, a new jubilee bracelet and the weight feel rather solid (but this is the secondary factor).

I wanted to get other watch brand, but cant seem to find any that i really like that is within my budget of about $10k. I dont find other brands around that price appealing and worthy. The AP Royal Oak offshore that i m eyeing will set me back about $30-40k, with the current economy condition i think i will save that extra $20 - 30k for some other investment first.

Took another look at Rolex then i decided why dont i get the newer model DJ with another colour dial. I like the brown mother of pearl with diamond which is retailing at about $14k. The sales person told me its make no sense to pay additional $2k odd for the mother of pearl as it dont suit my age.

Hence I settle for the black face and the diamond markers seem a lot bigger on a black surface compared to my first one.

Anyway...but I mean doesn't it feel like a waste of money? 2 same watches ? Just diff colour face

this is quite subjective, because not everyone look their age. I find that depend on what the fella want. For example, if using my age, I shouldnt be wearing tt dj since i wouldnt carry it off nicely enough. But because of my look and style I can carry it off quite nicely.

Even the SA who serve me look at my driver license, and say that so young wear tt dj somemore with diamond markers.

Perhaps its the casing. Have yet to check the exact dimension for both my DJ.

But its a Rolex. I think if money is not as issue. Most of us here would have gotten the same series with different colour face!!

I gotta admit its kinda 'wasteful'. But then again, i can alternate my watch and match the face according to the colour of my outfit to give it a more coordinated look ya.

mother of pearl is always nice on a lady wrist.

For guy, maybe in the mid 40s?

I dont know. I guess like what is said, it is rather subjective and a matter of choice for the person wearing it.

For my case , i've 1 YG DD , 1 TT DJ , 1 SS GMT ii C and another SS DJ . I'm slightly below 30 , even my wife comment that i shld buy SS model as its more suitable for my age .
But now i'm eyeing for the TT daytona , i mean i still prefer TT or WG watch as i think a Rolex with a little bit of gold is nicer IMO .
I do admit the SS model find more time on my wrist . Dun really had alot of chance to wear those TT models especially my YG DD .
Anyway just to share my personal experience....

I just bought my first rolex 2 months ago. SS GMTII, pepsi. SS is definitely more affordable.
