Middle East prices are indeed competitive. I know Dubai is getting expensive, especially at the airport.

These are prices I'm getting in Saudi Arabia (Jeddah)
Explorer II SAR 18000 (SGD 6519)
          GMT II-c SAR 23500 (SGD 8511)
Daytona TT SAR 42000 (SGD 15,211)
Daytona WG with Meteorite SAR 105000 (SGD 38030)

However, exchange rate is usually bad (from credit card, so need to add about 5-7 % to above. Overall still cheaper.

Based on the prices, I think GMTIIc is better buy as Singapore is still selling at a premium. As for ExpII, Singapore will be cheaper if you can claim GST back.

the GST claim back for EXPII would make the price on par with middle east.

Yeah, Daytona WG is like that. I recalled asking late last year at THG, LP, and was quoted above SGD$40k.

Few years back, few of my SQ frens told me that Frankfurt offers 1 of the cheapest price for Rolex. Dunno about now though ...
                              Cheers!

Not sure if this topic of poor exchange rates for credit card has been discussed before.

I find that whilst bros here may shop for rolex in Japan, HK etc, the credit card exchange rates are usually much poorer which minimise the savings or sometimes even make buying overseas not worthwhile.

Any ideas to get around this "problem"?
