i'd do it if i wanted an SD - also no harm asking if the seller can lower the SD's price... : )
and if you don't mind the scratched insert, might as well just keep and use it for now.“Watches, no matter how much they cost, are better at telling time than making a person happy.†- Thomas J. Stanley

6k for z series sd without papers gd deal? Was thinking instead of verification at rsc, my as well replace the bezel insert instead and pay for tat instead of paying for verification? Cos understand if watch is not genuine they would not even do the insert replacement right?

Yes...
SD insert cost includes service charge should be around $100 or maybe less...
Worth changing... anyway that's a Lumi insert not an older tritium type...

IMO, I think it's not a bad deal. If you are not really concerned about the papers and boxes, the price seems reasonable. Z-series could be about 3 years old watch. I think if you set a budget of a few hundreds for the replacement of parts and verification, 6k seems quite alright, esp. you are aware SD is already discontinued. I have seen some shops selling a older series SD with a higher price, despite with full sets, such as box, papers and toolkit etc. The highest I saw was a F-series SD asking for 8k.
