Don't wear them. But seriously, keep oiled and clean with leather cleaner. If possible, sweat less.

What is leather care? To me,I see no difference between our skin care over leather. We can't reprevent it from "Aged but we can preventing it from Crack" overtimes. Periodically apply a small amount of Olive oil/leather conditioner over it. I even use babe oil ,hand lotions all these does alot of help bro.

Try Mink oil, I'm using this Japanese brand called "Columbus". Its packaged in a red box with a picture of a mink on it. Animal fat, just like the natural occuring oils in leather. Bought mine @ CK Tangs. But saw a few other places with it as well. Used to retail @ BATA but that was many moons ago.......

Ps:It works on the outside of your strap, not on suede or similar type of finishes. Initial application is oily as hell, leave overnight for penetration and enjoy the new suppleness and feel!

            2 ways:

#1 buy a deployment buckle - it will save the leather from stressing out when used with a tang buckle.

buy the best deployment buckle you can afford - the well made ones are very comfortable and do not dig/bite your flesh.

#2 apply product on the leather regularly (both sides). i use beeswax - it helps keeps the leather waterproof too.

although some wax gets on my wrist when i apply too much, but hey, it can be washed off and is all natural.

those 2 tips have saved my pricey gators from being destroyed by my heavy perspiration and daily usage.

other methods include getting a quality water proof/resistant faux leather strap OR using cheap leather straps and changing them regularly.

both types can be found on fredawatchstraps (no association with me).
