I personally feel more secure sending in to RSC. It's painful to part with large amount of money, long term it's quite worth it.

This is so true. A few years back, my 6694 cost $2k-ish to repair. Today i would hate to see the bill from rsc today

          It is a monopoly.
You want to buy an expensive watch and yet wonder if the watch you send in for servicing at a non official place is running some non original parts inside?
You have to pay for a piece of mind.
agree.............and dont forget that after servicing the watch is most likely to last for many years le

Heard PP and AP servicing are much much more ,can run into multiple thousands with PP and AP.
RSC charges of few hundred to $1K++ is peanuts for a timpepiece.

In addition, there are so many lobangs for RSC servicing here on forum you can get your Rolex serviced for $200 to $300.

Rolex service prices are among the cheaper ones for brand watches. But SG RSC is overcharging. If you have friends staying in HK or going for long period, let them service the watch for you in HK RSC. For eg, inspection of watches is FOC in HK, SG you pay bloody $75. And who says HK is an expensive place????

bro, SG is becoming very expensive la. When you shop for the same item for brand stuff, 90% of the time, you get it cheaper in HK. A general oiling n' service done on HK RSC is below S$500. Yes, HK may be more expensive for cabbie rides, but that ties along the disposable income for that place...Anyway, we're talking about Rollies here..

Today i just went to RSC to check my Explorer II, they quote me $760 for servicing not including parts, waiting time is 6 wks due to CNY. Advise by the SA to come back after March for shorter waiting time... In Nov they quote me $560 including parts... Is like more then 50% increase.
