Help! How to get rid of water vapours in watch?

Hi dear bros,

Can anyone help with this issue? I got a watch (not Rolex lah), don't know how or why but there is water vapours inside the watch glass. Is there any DIY ways to get rid of them?

Slow slow slow slow way is open crown and hope it will eventually dry out (not really recommended).

faster way is to bring to watch maker and open and clean. You most prob have to check the gaskets anyway so might as well?

If it is a cheap watch, see can open caseback a not, if cannot, open your crown, put it near dry hippo in a container.

Best take to a watch smith to open up everything, clean it up. Even water vapour gone, chances are likely that you will have water marks on it.

find a watch tech & get it clean & service ! the longer u wait the worst it gets..................your parts get rusty & corrosion occurs on dial & hands !

So the best way is to get the tech to open up and clean then? It it not ex watch just $400 plus only but my CO wearing...

Worked for my old tag and phone when it took a plunge

Uncook rice also can absorb moisture? If use the silica gel will be better?

Yeah... Uncooked rice.
Well uncooked rice grains are used to absorb moisture from salt n pepper. If u guys go to restaurant the next time, you would see grains of rice inside the salt or pepper shakers. Ü
it's nothing new lah, just improvising n it's a proven method for me.

Well if u have silica gel at home then u can try. Cos not everyone have a jar of silica gel ready at home whereas uncooked rice should be pretty much common and it's way cheaper...

Or maybe u can try the cheapest option, if fails, proceed to silica gel, then last option go to have it serviced.
Frankly even if any of the above method is successful, you would still need to identify the root problem. Was the moisture there due to carelessness (unknowingly washing yr hands while the crown was unlocked), or wear n tear of the gasket, or a sealing issue etc. Else the problem would be a recurrent one and the above method maybe deemed ineffective.
For my Tag, moisture occured bcos I did not tighten the crown
