Like all successful companies (notably car companies with their different car sizes and confogurations) , rolex knows its clientele and the value of market segmentation. Their products are calibrated so that minimal cannibalisation occur. There is a reason why the daydate series are only produced in precious metal, why the datejust 2 doesn't get the oyster bracelet when the datejust does.

So there isn't a 'best' rolex. They are all configured to their respected market segments.

Have to Agree after reading this there isn't a best Rolex. It does cater for different functionality of users.

A user who does scuba diving might go for Submariner.
A user who travels a lot might go for GMT Master.
etc...
