Basel 2009!
By the way guys...Basel 2009 will no longer be held in April but in Jan/Feb..before or coincide with SIHH.
How does it impact us? new pieces will be released in April/May instead of the normal wait till Sept. Prices will also be up sooner...
for limited edition pieces...it means it's not a full year limited edition for 2007 (not Apr 08 to Mar 09 anymore but shorter).
cheers

This sounds good to me "New larger (44/43/42mm) then current 40mm model (an update of either Sub or Seadweller)."
but is new model any good news to us? like the GMT IIC, it is in great demand and is selling at a premium of more than 1k than the listed price locally...
current SD already listed as 87++ liao.. new model would easily push it to same price as the GMT IIc @ 95++? and selling at 11k ? keke

Juz an example. Look at the GMT II ceramic, it was announced in Apr at Basel 07 and they only reached our local ADs sometime in Sep 07 in limited numbers and by then there were already waiting lists at the ADs for them which naturally translate to premium prices for those who can't wait. For those who want to get it, it was bad news cos the wait can be long and they faced premium prices if patience runs out on them. But then again, its introduction also meant that its predecessor the 16710 was discontinued and this indirectly drive prices for them up. So it was somewhat good news for 16710 owners .
So from the above example, whether its good news or bad news, it really depends on which side of the fence you are in.HISTORY IS WRITTEN BY THOSE WHO

ONLY A BETTER WAY.
