  • wats a Pin-hole ?

Erm ..wat does the pin-hole do ??

Y some rolex have it some dont ?

due to age. the type of question you have asked is just like, why certain cars have electric mirrors/windows?

pin hole facilitates for easier bracelet removal to the end user. usually older watch will have it.

i think its just a cosemetic issue, no diff

n also when u mentioned pinholes, it usually meant that the model is old but some current models still hv pin hole.

if i can recall correctly, like sub w/o date, SD .... etc

any1 know any other models still got pinhole ?

a hole made by a pin?

I believe its the holes by the outer side of the lugs whereby it makes changing bracelets/straps easier.

              Looks ugly IMO.

No. It is just that the newer model watches do not come with pinholes, which also means that pinholed watches are the older designs. And in "horologicalism", older designs/models do not necessarily equate lower values. On the contrary, some are even higher.

The 14060m sub no date is one of the watches that only comes with pin holes regardless new or old.

The lower in value is not largely attributed to the pin-holes. Some old/vintage ROLEX models with pin-holes do actually fetch higher prices. It still voices down to personal preference. Just like some who may/may nt prefer the newer-designed models that has an additional security feature, ie. the engraved inner ring.
