The lower in value is not largely attributed to the pin-holes. Some old/vintage ROLEX models with pin-holes do actually fetch higher prices. It still voices down to personal preference. Just like some who may/may nt prefer the newer-designed models that has an additional security feature, ie. the engraved inner ring.
