  • Price of pre-owned Rolex Explorer II

    Hi,

I realised that the prices of pre-owned 16570 has somewhat been getting lower. Not sure if that has always been the case but I seem to recall just a few years ago where a pre-owned 16570 for a few years would cost about 5k+.

Now, it's possible to get a D or F series for less than 5k. And it's a full set.

Does anyone happen to know why it's like that?

Or I remembered wrongly and this has always been the case?

    Am curious.

No, I think your observation is correct. Reason, I'm only guessing it's the demand decreased. In fact, for a brand new pc from local AD, you can get up to 15% discount.

        Hi,

Thanks. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this way.

Just a wild imaginative guess. Perhaps Rolex S.A. is somwhat responsible for this to a certain extent and a there may be updates to the 16570 soon.

          How to identify????

          Hi,

Can anyone guide me how to identify whether the watch belongs to which series?
Is it indicated on the watch??
Besides that what other things i need to look out for??

          Thanks in advance.

For the newer models, ie 'Z' (later batches), 'M' (except SD) and 'V' (except SD), you can see the series engraved in the inner wall of the dial. The older models, you got to ask the AD for it. If not, the certificate should indicate.
