Hi guys
I came across 2 pre-owned chronograph watches that I wanted to buy in recent months. However, each time I tested the stopwatch function, something seemed very odd.
The second hand of stopwatch works fine. The problem is when I stop it and try to reset it. Upon pressing the reset button, the big minute hand that tells the time "flies forward" by sometimes, half, one or even 2 minutes!
That doesn't seem right, right? It means that the watch loses its accuracy each time you use the stopwatch function.
The first watch I was looking at - the dealer tried to fix it but to no avail. I was told good watches are temperamental in thier own way.
The second watch, I didn't tell the owner-seller cos I didn't want him to think I was trying to strike a hard deal, so I politely declined the watch.
So, is it normal of such expensive watches? Would you guys buy such "flawed" watches?
