  • Any diff between Swiss Bought Rolex?

I like to know if there are any differences on the rolex bought in Swiss and Singapore?

I rem once my tour guide bull**** saying that the parts might not be 100% swiss made if bought in Singapore. oh, especially the strap chain.

    man, rolex is very addictive!

You mean the tour guide in Switzerland bring you to buy rolex as well? Just like those in china who bring you to medical hall to buy bandages and medical oils; who tried really hard to convince us that their bandages and oils are better?

                      agree

I guess the main and important difference is the price but doesn't mean Swiss made watch is selling cheaper in Swiss.

When I was in France, French-Fries is not selling cheaper than those in Singapore.

Heard the same thing from the tour guide during my recent trip. IMO, its all crap. Dont believe a word of it. Of course, if one has too much $$$ to burn, u may choose to purchase a watch in Switzerland. Maybe with a Swiss AD endorsed warranty card, it'll fetch better resale value if u decide to flip it later.

I bought my rolex in switzerland many many years ago. That tour guide also said the same sh*t. (I wonder they are come the same travel agent??? Ch*n bro?) I bought the watch not because of what he said but it was really cheaper and that model was also "hard to get" in singapore... so got it in switzerland... actually when you go holiday, just treat those tour guides as entertainers, storytellers, personal assistances, etc... don't seriously listen to what they said... no point... just happy happy go tour and happy happy come back...

maybe u guys don know that.

In order for Swiss watches to remain in Singapore to be sold by local ADs, they have to be PRs. this involves their warranty cards being stepped FROM SINGAPORE.

Some watches even went to the extent and gave up their Swiss citizenship and took the Singapore Citizen ship, hence, no longer considered Swiss made. Remember, Singapore does not allow dual citizenship.

hope that helps clarify what your tour guide told you.
