Hmm, investing on a brand new Rolex is not bringing u anywhere. Everyone can get another BRAND NEW elsewhere. 10-20 years down the road, there might not have a BNIB rolex of the model u got now, but there will be plenty of used with a much cheaper price tag then yours. Investment are usually on those vintage or special/limited edition. For example, red sub 1680 still hold it value because of the red 'submariner' wording, Rolex didn't produce a large quality back then. Only the rare is worth investing. The 50th anni hulk might be a good start, but take note that rolex had those on the market for a couple of years. It's not "that" rare either. My 2cent.

Maybe won't be long.. the last time I bought the new Explorer II 42mm black from the dealer, he was trying to convert me over to the darkside... of panerai.. I must say, there are some very nice Pam models, just that the case diameter of 44 mm or 47 mm seems too big on my wrist! But I am looking at them!
I wear my Sub TT daily, and withthin few mths from date of purchase, it get scratches so easily even carefully worn. However, I dont wear rolex during trips to countries like Malaysia, Thailand...etc. Japan or other more secure countries should be safer I guess. ^^ Have couples of horrible robbery experience in Bangkok already...
