collectibility or value preservation??

Hi All,

just wanted to find out from all rolex lovers here if you are given a choice to decide between buying Either a 1991 T25 dial 16713 GMT master II root beer with jubilee bracelets OR a 1989 18238 president, both happened to come with full set and in pretty good condition, which one will you choose if you can only choose one assuming you consider both watches pricing are acceptable.

Both are in pretty good conditions, I will get the better condition one.

As much as I love gmts, and the rootbeer is one you dont often see in the wild, I am not much of a fan for TT Rolexes. For me, either SS all the way or PM all the way. So for this instance, I will go with the President.

No right or wrong with Rolexes, just personal preference.

would you be able to advise the ESTIMATE pricing for both the watches?

this is because, for a president, the price can be pretty stable.

in the past, i would put a ten foot pole between myself and president. however over time, president has become more appealing.

The root beer is so distinctive, I think it's going to be a future classic. However, I don't see two-tone retaining great value as has been mentioned before. Tough call, but then I've always believed its more about what you love than what you make on the piece at the end of the day...

Can tell us how much the president and root beer u eyeing so we can make better decision for u. It is not easy to find a Root beer gmt, it is even tougher to find one in full set.

The root beer still looks great inspite of all the latest gmt changes. Either one, you can't go wrong. Wear both and see which one fits you more. For me, it's the root beer I will go for.

i would say go for the Root beer. Root beer has a unique style.

although i'm not a fan of the jubilee bracelet.. i'd go for the root beer gmt.. you don't see many of them around.. day date presidents are everywhere.. unless you manage to find a president with a lapis lazuli dial or a bark brown dial..
