I don't quite get you what 'cheap range' you mean, but the entry level models should be the Oyster Perpetual(OP), Airking(AK), Datejust(DJ) models I guess. Those with no-date function are cheaper among the range.

And don't worry, any ROLEX model can be passed down generations as family heirloom, as long you take care of it well. Best is to try walking around the shops and try them out yourself.
