Rolex Fragility.

We have always thought a Rolex is quite forever. A constant work horse. And we never doubt. But until recently my 5 years old, rarely worn decided not to respond to a time winding. The centre suggested the crown was pulled too hard? I'm wordless. A tag of $920 for the repair.

How long does it take for your Rolex to break down? In any physical way.

My 16610 took 15yrs of hard wearing to finally have the mainspring broken.

Yours must be a current model (less than 10yrs)


I feel that Rolex just doesnt make them like they used to.
That is why i stopped buying current Rolexes (6digit models)

I prefer the 5 digit models.

What's the cost for your repair? Any frightful story about 6 digit to share?

Maybe mine is just an unlucky piece out of the thousands. I have another 2 years to see if the repaired from RSC last out well after this. And, of course to pull out the crown gently I'm now winding my rolex pieces ever so carefully.
