  • Found stains on my TT sub! Normal?!

    Hi guys..

As mentioned in the title, I was cleaning my watch after I reached home and while cleaning I found this weird stain on the bracelet in the middle gold links..

Tried to wipe it and clean it but it looks like it's permanently stuck there..

Anyone has this problem? Or anyone know any solutions to clean the stains away?

    Thanks in advance!

    Is that rust?

Did you try light soaping it and washing it with water? If the stain remains, it is better to get it checked with the RSC.

        Thanks for the reply guys..

I'm also not sure if that's rust.. But I'm not afraid of the authenticity of the watch bcos I got it from HG.

I cleaned my watch with soap yesterday.. Seems like it's permanently stuck..

Since still under warranty I will go and get it checked.

Its normal oxidation. I dont clean mine as it give the watch a nice character and patina. But mine is an old watch of course.
If you have to clean it, just light buffing with a soft cloth and any polishing compound sld do the trick

it is perfectly normal, some gold would "tarnish" overtime. Bring it to rolex service center to have it buff, if it seriously bother you. I wouldn't do that if i were you cos it still will come back..

Wow I didn't know this was normal for gold watches. I always wanted a TT or YG watch but I might not anymore!

                              It's normal.. Don't worry...!!!

it's perfectly normal for 18k gold cos of the copper content in 18k yg will show up a bit after few washes.. mine has them too but i just leave them there till it's time for a service.. even if you send to rsc then they'll just polish or buff the gold links on the bracelet.. imo i'd never polish my watch unnecessarily...
