Yes,for your model it should be there ! if not, ask the shop if the crystal was replace with a aftermarket one ?
the correct crystal for your model should be 25-246C.

No all Rolex has the LEC at the 6 O'clock position !
The older Rolex especially, those with plexi glass does not have this secure feature.
All Rolex model using sapphire crystal, should have it !
Now the newer sapphire crystal has an extra feature on the cyclop it's the AR coating on the Date mag !

actually only newer watches with sapphire has the lazar etched logo. it was introduced in around 2002 on selected models and implemented across all models in around 2005.

Bro, it should be transparent to the naked eyes. First time I tried to see mine also took a long time at the AD... Even with the AD's loupe took me a while to see it. The lighting condition has to be good.

I've seen replicas made in china or even those that claimed to have swiss movement where the so called laser etching is soooo visible... One look can tell not a genuine rolex.

The fake ones you can spot very easily. It is this hard-to-see-but-it's-there that is very difficult to copy. Guess Rolex has done very well in this aspect

For the ts model datejust should have a laser etched crown.. if you really can't see the etching then try putting a single drop of water on the crystal 6 o clock side and then shine a torchlight the lugs sure you'll be able to see like this...
