  • Question about Rolex Warranty

    Hi Guys,

I am looking to get a GMT master II, and i realised some of the sellers have either post-dated their warranty or undated their warranty. If i bring it to RSC for verification, will they log the date i bring it in? Example: Watch warranty in Aug 14 or Dec 14, I bring it in 18 July 2014.

Will RSC keep a log inside their system?

    yes, they keep logs.

Haha.. yes, you are right. It's their automated stocking system in their new factory in Bienne, all computerised and mechanised, three-storey high, all underground. If they can do this for their parts and components, we can expect their IT systems to be "state-of-art".

at this point they have not/yet to digitized their old records though.

Rolex database only consists of watch production and distribution to ad... so when a rolex watch left the factory doesn't necessarily date a watch's sale date... only an ad can enter the sale date on a watch in their system but i have no idea if rolex has access to every ad's records.. and also don't know if rolex sa keeps track of stocks sold by an ad... maybe the gurus can enlighten us on this matter...

If the warranty card is dated 14.Aug.2014 & you bring the watch before the warranty date then the AD will be in trouble. AD should chop date as & when the watch leave their shop. Correct me if I'm wrong. Cheers,

Hard to say.I personally came across a customer who bought a Rolex from THG. The moment he walk out the door then send the watch to Rsc for authentic.

Err... mate, hard to say though. Probably the owner is sotong-blur rather than intentionally outta to screw up the AD! My good mate bought a set whereby the AD only wrote the year! and the grey dealer who got it from the AD repeatedly reminded my friend to date it before going down to RSC! He is an intelligent bloke, he knows what to do

You gotta be kidding! This fellow must be a greenie in Rolex buying! Not sure if he would send his set for verification again at Rolex Swiss since Rolex originated from there after RSC SG! LOL
