Actually, it wasn't exactly cheaper, this was in 1994 when the mobile operators didn't exactly have the kind of good deals which they do now. Of the 5 phones we bought only one was an export set because it wasn't sold by the local operators(was an early day Sony).

Bottomline is becareful and am thankful that we got the right compensation.

This shop also very stupid one... sell phone earn $$$, but why put in fake battery? How much more $$$ they can earn by doing that? More trouble instead... very stupid.... really no brain...

Nar anything below 10K is not much point going to lawyers. Do what I did, go to CASE to file then get the small claims tribunal to call them up for arbitration.

Just like to share my pleasent experience with Hobbylink's Sam... walked in (2nd visit to the shop) last Sat, placed deposit for a brand new Sub Date (from local AD). Collected the watch 2 days ago (Tuesday).

BNIB watch comes with warranty card (credit card type) with the details of a local AD already printed on it (number "430" printed before the watch's serial number), wrote my name and date of purchase on the card. Sam made a photocopy of it for submitting to the local AD,... purpose is to have the watch's warranty registered under my name with RSC (thru the local AD).

Sam showed me where the "crown" that is etched on the sapphire crystal's at the 6 o'clock position, where the serial number is engraved along the "chapter ring", adjusted the bracelet length for me, I put it on... walked out a happy man!

Upz for Sam!!! Will definitely go back when i am looking for another watch again

hmm so far quite good reviews for hobbylink. i wonder if i'll get my 'first' watch from here or should i get from AD.

although his prices seem fair, some times he might not have the model that you want. but so far, been checking out his website, sometimes he does stock 'rare' pieces too.

actually i always check out this shop when i at far east plaza (cheap parking in town hahaha), friendly service although i didn't buy anything.... yet?

                                Hi Pal,

Why don't you go to their website to check or msg Sam. I found that their website could be misleading or not updated.

However to my advise in buying Rolex from non AD shop in SG is to get it authenicated in RSC.

If you willing to pay or Rolex, why not pay additional $75 to have a piece of mind. As seen, anything out of the shop or RSC, the seller do not assure you of anything should there be a dispute.
