as for milgauss, the blue dial does not appeal to me.
It's a smart move to have the pepsi GMT II in precious metal since there are already two SS GMT II.

As for the SD 4000, I guess they realise the huge/thick DSSD is not reaching out to some part of the market especially the Asian market, as pointed out by Oceanklassik.

40mm sea dweller, this is the correct size for wrist watch!
Much more handsome than the DSSD!

The new Celini line also super clean and elegant!
Rolex finally get it right this time!

Ok enough poison. I think I want this SD 4000.

The good news is, I don't have a Rolex Submariner in my collection so it should not be a difficult decision

Looks like history has repeated itself. When Rolex first launches Sub with ceramic bezel, we have fans that went "woooo......" & some who went "eeeeee......." Some like the new broader case while some preferred the slimmer older one. Now we hv the same scenario when Rolex launches the new SD4000. Exact same 40mm diameter but with "supercase" & ceramic bezel. I would much prefer it to be 42mm as 40mm seems small for the current trend now.

I used to own a SD with my current Hulk. Now would be thinking whether to get the SD4000. But guess to get or not depends on the price. Think it will retail at $13+k?

                          Oh, that's the bad news.

                          CHF9900 is around S$14K

If it's 14k I'd like to stick with my DSSD liao.. Doesn't make sense for such a price, esp when there is already a sub in collection.
