Advise needed to choose between 2 great watches

Hi, i know this is a Rolex Forum and it may not be fair to raise this question but i really need the gurus & experts here for advise.

With limited $$ in hand, i'm in a dilema of choosing to buy either a BNIB SS Daytona (Black Dial) or a BNIB SS IWC Big Pilot. I know these 2 watches are very different in style and movement, therefore it's rather unfair to compare them "apple to apple".

However i like both watches very much and the worse thing of all is that the pricing for these 2 watches are quite close and i have to make a decision as in which watch to buy first. Can anyone offer some advise which watch should i get first and the reasons if any (ie quality of build, movement or able to hold value well..). Thanks in advance.

i would go for the daytona.

the IWC big pilot is great...but its not a Rolex

both are great watches though....

Try on both the watches on your wrist. Whichever sings to you more, get the one first. Both watches are not that difficult to find in the market now.

Em ... My advise is to go for SS daytona 1st than BP .
I'm looking for Bp 5004 too , mind to share what's the best deal you found for the IWC BP ? Can PM me if you want .

Sorry I am going against the flow here. I would opt for the BP as I love Iwc's design and their history. I have a Portuguese PR now and am hoping to get one in these two yrs.
I won't go for Daytona as I dun fancy Chrono dials. Like what the bro say, when the Daytona was on my wriat, it doesnt 'sing' to me. It's just me.
I prefer Rolex YM or GMT to Daytona.

However comparing the 'holding value', Daytona I feel is alot better.

Go try on both and see which appeals to you more. Do the leg work as in these times, both watches are not that difficult to come by at a more attractive price than say early last yr and before.

Yup, the prices are pretty much the same, diff of few hundred dollars only.

why not consider the following questions. hope they help.

1) what do you like in your watch collection?
2) a more traditional sporty type look or pilot look?
3) chronograph or power reserve?
4) bracelet or leather?

think the above questions may help you decide which one to get first
