We should just enjoy what we have. Put it the other way around, assuming you felt like wearing a replica, would you like to have negative comments from strangers?

i'll just keep my mouth shut. everyone is free to do make their own choice. in fact, i've got american colleagues (with annual salary of few hundred Ks) who buys replica watches because they feel that it's dumb to pay so much for just a watch. different people puts value in different things in life, no right or wrong.

If its a close friend, I'll say "eh, you just came back from China?". Stranger, I won't bother him at all.

question for u. What happens if u turn out to be wrong? To be able to confidently determine it's a replica requires u to be rather close range and at least a 3 sec focus on the watch even for an experienced person, not a mere 1 sec glance while standing next to the person.

i'll confirm, double triple confirm in different ways possible...
alot of times, replica owners are quite upfront about owning a "chiong" piece...
i'll make that comment, or should i say i had already made that comment quite a few times... to colleague, friend, relative...
i wont say that to someone i dont know...
no, i'm also no expert to tell a fake within that few glances....

dont you guys here in forum wish that someone someday would put a stop to replicas?
i'm doing my little part here

I will tell him that I have a fake pc for everyday wear so I don't feel pain when I scratch it and see if he owns up, if he tells me that he paid good money for the watch I will tell him he's been conned and will ask him to make a report.

You get to enjoy the good stuff, they dont. Wearing a good timepiece is more than just prestige

I would say nothing, or even chat him up on the fact, that the real one is really a awesome work of art! I can identify with that, as I didn't see value in Rolexes previously, and owned 2 replicas myself as daily use watches. It wasn't about affordability, but my perception of value. Since then, I've bought 2 rolex and a brietling.

That's reality! But personally, in that situation, I would use a good quality Rolex homage, like the Steinharts or Squale with ETA movements, instead of replicas, which have ethical implications.

To be honest is individual preference some love to buy replica because instead of getting a piece that is so expensive now they rather use the money for better purpose and getting a lot more replica but to some die also won't wear replica will rather save for a real piece. For me personally even I saw ppl wearing a replica I wouldn't have comment cos they might be filthy rich but prefer replica or some just wanna own one as now days too many ppl owns a Rolex n they don't bear to pull the trigger for a real piece.

True enough if rich business man wears replica people will think its genuine. Overall I think buying a genuine watch kinda feels good and confident of your achievement. A good way to reward yourself and of course value is always there.
