Have anyone bought a Rolex from an AD in Honolulu?

    What is it like?

    Now that Baselworld is over,

how long do I have to wait before the ADs carry the new models?

Correct me if I am wrong. Honolulu in Hawaii, is comparable to Sentosa. Something like Honolulu-US and Sentosa-Singapore. So I believe that things there (Honolulu) should be more expensive than from its mainland.

        thanks for the info

the reason why I am asking is because I have the chance to possibly buy a Rolex in Honolulu in maybe 1.5 years time

I prefer to buy in Honolulu as the american laws protect the customers

If I buy the watch brand new and it develops problems, I know I can take it back

but I have a feeling it will be much more expensive then in sg

1.5 yrs time is a long way bro. Even an accurate answer you may get now will be obsolete by then. I believe the price is much more expensive than getting it here.

On the matter of things being more expensive in Hawaii comparing to the mianland. It really depends on what are you looking at.

The flights from Mainland to Hawaii comparing to flight within US mainland are more expensive.

Food and hotels are definitely more expensive than most cities in USA with the exception of Manhattan.

Retail prices for major brands should be the same throughout USA.
Sale tax in Hawaii if about 4 - 4.5%. This is a much lower than buying things from San Francisco at 8.5%, Las Vegas at 7.75% and New York at more than 8% as well.

Most of the things in Hawaii is catered for the Japanese. Really looks like a little Japan when you are there..

This would be fine if you are living in the same state, county and city that you bought the watch. Otherwise it could be an inconvenience especially if you are living outside of the US.
