In size, weight n depth alr big difference If comparing both ss i will go for dssd. But if having extra cash just grab the dssd will do so u are able to njoy both at the same time. But not alot able to carry out the watch. So try it n think twice if getting it.

        Take either 16610 and 16600
both are classics and much much much cooler than the current Sub and dssd which have just not gain that kind of iconic feel yet.

I like the deepsea best among the sub I own. It is bigger, heavier and enjoy a certain prominence on the wrist. The rotation of the ceramic bezel is smoother compared to the others I own (non ceramic bezel).

Hardly see people wearing old rolex nowadays
Yes the new ones are gaining popularity and are also nice watches but i noticed high percentage worned by young upstarts and yuppies in their early thirties.

The more seasoned lao chiao , steady guys mostly wear the classic pieces.
            Thats my observation.
Like one of my seniors who owns 7digit $ landed house, i have never seen him in anything else than his 16610 for the last 10-12 yrs i've known him.

            I myself have a 16610 since 1998.

But dont get me wrong, i just prefer old school stuff as i am an uncle.

Yes, feel free to disagree. Thats what a forum is all about. Differences in opinions

I think more matured people prefer to wear something less loud like datejust n old sub. Something that can fit under sleeve easily. Mayb your Frd prefer to use the $ on property than watches. More value...
              Current babies:
              Sub 16610LN D series
              PAM 312 M series
              IWC 500112 Laureus Limited Edition

              Wish list:
              116613LB?
              a good White dial watch

Sub is Sub, Deepsea is Deepsea.
Different feel different size different price.
                Why change, just get another.

DSSD is ok for daily wear, but one must be able to carry out the watch especially when wearing under a shirt.
SD is just nice for a 7" wrist like mine, i used it for daily wear actually.
Sub is a classic iconic timepiece, for someone who wants to have a subtle feel when wearing shirts.
I guess most importantly you must feel comfortable and really like it.

Yes, both wear differently. The Deepsea is an instrument and wears and feels like one. But you will get used to the heftiness after a while. The sub wears very well compared to the Deepsea; almost as if you don't feel it's there. Both looks very different. If you can, have both.

The DSSD is substantially heavier than the sub, and is uncomfortable if not worn tightly on the wrist. I like the 43mm size and it feel is enjoys more presence than the sub.
