    Top Hour

Uncle Keson is a very honest guy , bought my rolex datejust from him around 10 years ago , when he still at Telok Bangla , have been dealing with him since than , always sent my watch to him for polishing and servicing , no worries about him replacing watch parts cos i simply just trust him, i will never do that with other shops other than RSC .

maybe this advice can help you and your wife come to a conclusion faster.

go to RSC and ask them if it is possible to change to a diamond bezel. if they tell you cannot, it means that the model does not come with diamond bezel. dont worry, asking them would be time and effort and cost of transport to RSC.

if they say can change, then go to any preown shop to check out the pricing. places like koh watches, top hour price should not vary too much. if it does, then ask why. then shop around again.

if RSC tells you not possible to change, it means that they will NOT service your watch should you go ahead and get a diamond bezel for your watch. this is because it is not consider 'original' rolex even though the bezel is from rolex themselves.

      hope this helps.

The LV has a maxi dial...the hour lume plots are much bigger than the normal 16610. The bezel inserts are definately interchangeable.

don't think they can change the green bezel insert for you at RSC...

yeah...sub lv using maxi dial..the markers are larger than normal 16610....so can spot the diff instantly...and u have to source from outside as RSC would not sell you the green bezel insert...

if it's due to the paint coming off... there're ways to self-paint it back!

it seems too frivolous replacing the entire friction bezel. you might be better off selling, and buying another explorer2...

RSC quoted me $230....$170 plus $60 to change it(workmanship).....

The only reason i wanted to change it was because of slight fading of the paint on the HR markers....

But i think i shall not change it...not worth it.....
