Thank you seiko for your quick reply. Btw, why is that I see different values of GMT with different bezel colours in the second market?

      Should be able to....

I think no difference in value. Coz it can be easily purchased from RSC

i think it is the originality of the bezel.... ie. has it been changed since new and the amount of "fade". I suspect that some shop are also using OEM inserts.... but I am not 100% sure, so my mouth is staying zipped.

shouldnt be a problem to get inserts, it seems that UK can get the insert by showing the watch in person, and can buy already, for about GBP23

you can change anything on your Rolex watch...bezel change to diamond studded bezel etc. BUT once you send your Rolex watch to Rolex service centre they will change everything back to the original design and all this parts and labor incurred will be chargeable to you.

Changing original fluted bezel to after market diamond bezel

                        Hi,

I would like to seek some advice..my wife is thinking of changing her TT datejust fluted bezel to a diamond one.

We went to one shop at Lucky Plaza called Top Hour. The boss sells many types of diamond bezels and can change the bezel on the spot. But my wife worries that the diamond are "man-made" cos' there is no cert. Any comments about this shop?

She prefers to buy from those jewellery shops at Chinatown, but problem is they don't provide changing the bezel on the spot.

Can anyone advise where is reliable and convenient watch shop or jewellery shop that sell a good variety of diamond bezels?

And what is the price range of these aftermarket diamond bezel for the ladies datejust?

                        Appreciate anyone's advice, pls. Thanks.

Agreed with Sam! I think it looks better with fluted bezel...

but if you really wish to change it..as for the diamonds..trust the seller..so far no mentioned case of seller selling fake diamonds or anything of that sort. Get it checked at your usual goldsmith shop if you are really worried..but best is you trust the seller...then no problem liao

Top Hour no problem. Very honest guy from my dealings with him. Used to be a RSC tech for years and received recognition from the mother company for his efforts and work. You can take his word for it. Anyways he's got a reputation to keep and a shop to run not to mention a family member schooling overseas in horology(as what i've learnt). Many Tai Tais and tycoons send their watch there to service as they also trust him. (Perhaps some other ADs too) If he wanted to earn a quick buck, I would have owned the Sub TT he had on sale then by now. But he insisted I look around more as he reasoned I'm still a little young to don TTs. Told me SS easier to trade and more suitable for my age. Really nice guy and told me to get one of the 2 SS subs he had just procured. 1 year old with papers and box for $5.8k. I declined because I tot he was trying to "clear stock". 2 days later both sold when I returned to look-see again. Bloody suck thumb and bang balls man.......... So you be the judge

I seconded slowrider_79's comments on Top Hour. I will get from there if there's something that caught my eyes and within budget.
