Was quoted $17,000 for a white SS Daytona by an AD. And $18000 for a black dial. What do expert bros here make of it?

Are these the prices quoted to others on the forum? if so, the prices have gone up quite a bit.

Hi bros here, I went to a THG outlet just now and they have confirmed that the price increase is in effect from 1st Jan 2010. In fact, they had the letter and the new price list from Rolex already! The price increase is mostly for Gold and TT models. The new price for the GMT IIc in SS is about 9.8k, increase of only 200. The new price for the Yachtmaster TT mid-size went up to nearly 15k, a price increase of almost 2.3k! I did not ask about other models though.

are u sure the price have gone up that much?? as i see at my place here malaysia, even after increase the price on the tag for this tt midsize yachtmaster is only 30k. b4 the increase it is 29k. so only up RM 1k...

Sorry for the mistake. The price I stated earlier was given wrongly by the SA. Think he gave me the price for the Men's size. The TT YM Midsize new list price is 13111. The new list price for the GMTIIC TT is about 14.5k. Both increased about 3%.

SS Daytona price here in US is $9925 USD. So that equates to about S$13895, not sure about other countries though.... but S$18K for a black face Daytona?? gosh...

Price seems more reasonable in US for SS Daytona if you price you mentioned is from AD, and stock is available.

AD here usually get 3-4 pieces a year and will save it for their 'preferred' customer, so we hardly see one in the showcase. (been in and out AD once a month for the past 3 years... never see one in there beside the YG and TT daytonas)
