One interesting observation: Most Tudors are selling in Rolex Garage instead of Other Watches Garage.
Prestige wise of course Rolex wins but workmanship and quality wise I think Tudor is on par with Rolex.
Personally I find Rolex could be using Tudor as the "testing ground" for some unconventional design elements, such as Ti case and more youthful colour schemes
Putting my DSSD and EXPII next to Pelagos, one can see the amount of details Tudor has put into the creation of Pelagos
Tudors are usually made of mass manufactured movements like Swiss ETA or Valjoux rather than an in-house Rolex movement.
In terms of the casing, most of the Tudors share very similar casings with Rolexs.
Sorry to hijack this thread guys, can't seem to post a new thread.
Wanted to ask if anyone knows where I can purchase a Tudor Fabric Strap for the Tudor Fastrider?
Asked at the AD and apparently can only replace as part of a repair?
Its all about principle of supply and demand. If tudor has so much demand, would not it be as costly relative to rolex? The holding company will not want to shoot its own foot since it has an excellent heritage and branding for rolex.
Both marketing and supply/demand principle at work.
